29th Amendment to the Constitution(after 28 for gay marriage ban) every quarter of every year each American citizen will be issued a coupon in the amount of $250k, or the inflation adjusted equivalent. In the first quarter, this amount will solely be spendable on electronical(remember Bush proposing this) doohickies. The first quarter is usually tough for tech so it's every man woman and childs patriotic constitutional duty to help this vital sector out. In the second quarter, when the sun shines mightily upon this great nation of ours, the $250k will be used to get out of the house, purchase a new car or two and go travel, see more of this great land to deepen all citizens appreciation for it's natural strengths. In the 3rd quarter, as it has been since the time of the Bible, it is time to put up stores for the winter. Thusly, the $250k is to be spent in the building of shelter such as a new ski condo, or 4th home on a golf course, or the buying of food. Finally, with all other needs taken care of, in the 4th quarter, the $250k is to be spent in the great American tradition of giving. Buy gifts for all, including yourself. And finally, there will hereunto be passed the double value Safeway coupon proviso, that if the $250k is spent on American made items, it is worth double it's normal value.

Is that the kind of solution to the economy you had in mind for Bush? What else can he really do and get re-elected? Possibly go on tv and confess his sins, and then point out how the irresponsibility really got out of hand under Clinton and that's when the market started down, and if America has learned one thing from watching Bubble Vision it's that the market always sees the future so there was nothing he could do, it was going lower, but now that he's got the market up, the future is bright if we will just trust him.
Any other scenarios that work?
