I forgot to mention. There was a also a very negative review of Kevin Philips's "American Dynasty" about the Bush family. The reviewer himself is a Republican who is now questioning Dubya's veracity, but he thinks Kevin did a crummy job of research. The only concrete example was when he called Michael Gerson by the name Mark Gerson. I am not a Philips fan and think the years he spent getting Tricky Dick elected and re-elected will always dog his reputation. But that was a small mistake for such a negative review.
