I've read that! I loved it. Wow, I can't believe someone else is reading it.

That makes me think of Giants in the Earth- another book I love.

How are you doing?
I was just out with the kids. My daughter played for some judges today in her flute choir (a group of girls from her high school, who are also in band, but made up their own flute choir. Normally my daughter plays a regular flute, and sometimes a piccolo, but the flute choir needed an alto flute, and my daughter's grandma bought her one, because she loves the flute so much- and that was very lucky, since my daughter is the only 9th grader to have been invited to join the choir, because she had an alto flute and could play it :-) I am a proud mama today, and everyday (I guess). Aside from the choir, and band, and her clubs, she also has straight A's- and we never pushed her. This is my child who the teachers lectured me about in elementary school- because she was messy, and unorganized, and she sucked at math. I told them I figured it was a developmental thing, and that she shouldn't be pushed- and she wasn't. And in middle school she bloomed- just like a flower. Gosh kids are fun to watch.
