Noose tightened around Osama: Interior Minister
(Updated at 1445 PST)
ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat has said that the noose were tightened against ben Laden and other members of the Al-Qaida terror network. In an exclusive interview to Geo he said investigations were in progress to identify the people captured in the recent Wana operation.

Interior Minister said that no Kashmiri was arrested for attempts on President Musharraf’s life. He denied of any big name in the people arrested in Wana, while confirmation of the identity of the people arrested in Wana will take some time.

On a query about capture of a son of Aiman Al Zawahiri the minister said these were speculations. On a question about arrest of Osama, Faisal Saleh Hayat said nothing could be said about it, as it could take a year or it might be captured immediately. He was in hiding, however space for his hiding was shrinking. Network of Al-Qaida was badly affected and it was breaking.

About arrest of Kashmiris in bids on President Musharraf’s life, interior minister said these were speculations as these people were not involved in attacks over President Musharraf. We have reached to the background of the people involved in attacks and some people were also arrested, he said. We have got some information about these networks and will soon reached to them.
