That is a twist. Kerry was acting basically dishonestly when he testified before congress - whence the bitterness.

Kerry was testifying as a veteran of that war. I'm grateful for his honesty.

I was talking about that which has been said by veterans about other veterans here on this board. As far as I know, Kerry hasn't been posting here.

If you are referring to what UW has been saying about Kerry, many veterans share that opinion, owing to Kerry's testimony before the Senate (the accuracy of which, BTW, has been disputed) and because of the effect of his anti-war activities on the treatment of POWs at the time. Many, as you say, do not. We could spend a lot of time discussing wartime atrocities of any war. What would be the purpose?

"Sure it's a "twist", Gina."

No, it's a massive fraudulent set of lies Poet.

...."over 150 honorably discharged and many very highly
decorated veterans testified to war crimes committed in
Southeast Asia, not isolated incidents but crimes
committed on a day-to-day basis with the full awareness of
officers at all levels of command...." John Kerry said
during Hearings before the Committee on Foreign Relations,
United States Senate

This was done while tens of thousands still were fighting
in Vietnam. Kerry's anti-war activities were repeated by
North Vietnamese soldiers as they tortured US prisoners,
trying to get them to sign documents they too committed
war crimes.

Don't tell me that Kerry's lies didn't embolden North
Vietnam to continuing to fight as they watched the anti-
war crowd change our view of the war. Their lies led
directly to people spitting on returning vets, calling
them rapists, baby killers, war criminals, etc.

IMO, Kerry gave aid & comfort to the enemy with his false
testimony.

Spin it any way you want. While Kerry lied, our soldiers
died.
