I made no comment on my political system preference. If you want to know, I would classify myself so Message 19470983 <<November 6th, 2003 ... ... How would you define yourself in this perspective? ... … a Republican wrapped around a Libertarian kernel, minus the Homeland Defense stuffing.>> As an investor, I appreciate the predictability of a peaceful democracy of the USA type, as opposed to a People Power democracy of the Philippines or Haiti. As a speculator, I can deal with both. As to ideas, I am for many ideas, amongst which are: (a) Truth (b) Freedom to not do what I do not wish to do (c) Family values (d) Friends (e) Happiness (f) Education, work, savings, investment (g) … Politics generally figure way down on my list of things to do or even think about, although I am appreciative that others are taking care of it on my behalf. I am not keen on politics, whether of the dictatorial variety or the majority over-ruling minority type. But, if I must choose, I would choose the majority over-ruling minority type, preferably of the bloodless kind. You got the wrong idea from my post. I was merely highlighting my belief that it hardly matters how the US November election will go, as long as the electorates are still of the belief that they can muddle through by the easy way out of an increasingly mathematically impossible situation. I also implicitly made the point that the coming November election in the US is in fact deciding which of the many alternative fates of the world will happen, although the alternative fates may in fact be very much alike already and getting more so each passing day.
