In British Columbia, our main commodity is lumber and pulp, and the provincial well being is directly affected by the price. You recently posted prices of NSK pulp and lumber which showed healthy increases. The trend is still strongly upward. There is a hint of optimism in the air now, something which hasn't been around for quite a few years.

In the last couple of years, some pulp mills have shut down permanently and were sold for scrap. The buyers for these mills were Chinese, and they are dismantling them as I write. They were the highest bidders.

Hi Russ, <<So much for curing the trade imbalance huh <ng>>>

... the solution is self-evident, simply get the Chinese commie bastards to export at a higher RMB:USD peg and import at another, but lower RMB:USD peg. They will understand :0)
