I understand the tech support problem. It's next to impossible to get help for a particular problem when we (end users) have a problem expressing just what the problem is. All we want is for the product to work. I remember very well how much of a pain I must have been when I was calling tech support every other day after purchasing my first computer. I'm surprised they didn't suggest I just box it up and they'd give me a full refund.
I was faithfully using Norton for a couple of years (wouldn't have run a computer without it) but the constant update problems finally made me say uncle. My freebie AVG may not be the greatest, but it's at least been relatively trouble-free and hasn't let a virus get through yet.
