MacRandy, Glad you asked. Symbol merging (and renaming, and continuous contracts) are possible now using QCharts beta build 5.0.9.5. It works like this.

A file CompSyms.inf and/or similarly named files, if present, define new symbols in terms of existing ones. You can specify a "front" or current symbol, a series of symbols whose histories should be merged, and give a title and names to the resulting composite.

CompSyms.inf will soon be downloadable at QCharts startup, and will be read by a follow-on to 5.0.9.5. In the meantime, you can download 5.0.9.5, and place your own definitions in an override file provided by the installer, CompSyms.unf. That file contains comments that describe the process of adding composite symbols Once you get the hang of it, adding a new composite is easy: 1) add a line to CompSyms.unf; 2) restart QCharts. Please tell us which renamed, merged or composite symbols you create; we'll fold them into the downloadable CompSyms.inf.

Anyone getting emini quotes on any QCharts server? I've got 14:59:05 as the last trade.

Edit: Updating okay now. There's about 10 minutes of missing data.
