Who knows, six months after the election, the recession will be over, and GW could raise taxes to pay for the new programs. Or GW will feel the timing is right to wield the veto. The point is that GW's budget deficits will be bad enough, on their own merits, that, by lying about them, you are putting in doubt any of your claims. Wasn't me, it was the Congressional Budget Office. re: I assume you are talking about the weak dollar, in comparison to the yen, or euro. The other side is that the dollar has been too strong, all through the nineties, and should have fallen, long before GW came to office. I personally feel the dollar was too strong, and should have been realigned, but that is me. Name all the terrorist acts in the US since 9/11/01, 2 1/2 years ago. Then name all the terrorist acts in the US before that. If you can get past 2, let me know. Bush is playing on the chicken sh-t nature of the US public, and he has a willing audience. John
