i cant remember 1867 at all and i got my Masters degree that year.

Mike, how well you carry your years. <g> I think you have a point about a trap. Poet, E and X were playing Tinker to Evers to Chance with me all day. :-/ Personally I would be happy never to hear another word about Kerry and Vietnam but I fear the media will not feel the same.

"Dont fall into this trap of attacking a war hero."

I have said I think Kerry's actions while he served in
Vietnam make him a war hero.

I also have no problems attacking a lying anti-war anti-
hero, who made himself famous by falsely alleging massive
war crimes that were committed on a day-by-day basis with
the full awareness of officers at all levels of command.
Kerry used that fame to help jump start his political
career.

Now he wants to play up only his war hero status while he
helps impugn Bush's service.

I say Kerry's war hero & anti-war anti-hero status are all
fair game. Kerry's credibility & fitness to be President
should be based on all of his significant accomplishments
& failures.
