Amy J Re...Both Rep and Dem Parties have supported policies for middle east oil, not for Israeli people. Americans confuse their middle east policy for oil, with support for Israel, when it's not. Ironically, some American people then blame Israel for this too.

A USA oil policy is not the same thing as support for Israel.

Just where exactly, did I say it was. I said, both Dem and Rep. administrations, since we took over for Britain, after WWII, have supported the state of Israel. Our oil policy, runs counter to our support of Israel, if anything.

I think it's untrue to say the USA supports the safety of the Israeli people. I think it's more accurate to say the USA supports the safety of their oil.

Im beginning to think you are on drugs, when you make such silly statements. The US has supported, whichever policies the Israeli gov. had at the time. The US hasn't been so presumptious to assume;(as you are trying to say now);that they knew better than the Israelis, themselves, what was best for them.

If the USA were truly more concerned about the safety of Israeli people (rather than oil), the USA would have been helping Israeli put an end to unemployment years ago, which is what originally fueled suicide bombers and the USA should have tried to find a way to help stop the settlement issue that is creating friction. This is what the USA could have done, if they truly cared about Israeli people, not middle east oil.

Several hightech people in Israel said the terrorists were a group of teenagers and twenty-somethings that were unemployed. Those that are out of work, are the hands of the devil. An old, but true expression.

What a truly insightful position. Personally, I think you ought to notify Kerry, so he can have it inserted in the Democratic plank, when he gets nominated.

The simple truth is, life in the ME is far more complicated than providing a few jobs.. Did you ever stop to consider, most investors, won't invest in Palestine, until a peace agreement, is worked out, as most investors, don't want their shiny new, multimillion dollar investments blown up. Get rid of the violence first, then there is hope, for the jobs. The simple truth is that Palestine is what it is; because, the rest of the Arab nations, are paying the terrorists, in Palestine, to do their dirty work for them, which is get rid of Israel. Get rid of that support, and you might have a hope of Israel, and Palestine, living side by side.
