But John Kerry has taken this art form to new levels of outrageousness. Whether he gets away with it remains to be seen. As an example of what I'm talking about, here's Kerry speaking in October to the Arab American Institute in Michigan: I know how disheartened Palestinians are by the Israeli government's decision to build the barrier off of the Green Line – cutting deep into Palestinian areas. We don't need another barrier to peace. Provocative and counterproductive measures only harm Israelis' security over the long term, increase the hardships to the Palestinian people, and make the process of negotiating an eventual settlement that much harder. That's Kerry telling a group of Arab-Americans what they want to hear on a controversial international subject – the building a protective fence in Israel. Is that really his position? With Kerry, who knows? Here's what he told New York voters a week before the primary in that state with a large Jewish voting block: Israel's security fence is a legitimate act of self defense. No nation can stand by while its children are blown up at pizza parlors and on buses. While President Bush is rightly discussing with Israel the exact route of the fence to minimize the hardship it causes innocent Palestinians, Israel has a right and a duty to defend its citizens. The fence only exists in response to the wave of terror attacks against Israel. Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Will the real John Kerry please stand up? Now, I'm sure if Kerry were questioned about these seemingly conflicting positions on a front-burner foreign issue, he would give one of his patented nuanced responses in which he explains there is really no contradiction between these positions. But that's the coward's way out. A real leader with real solutions determined to bring real people together – someone who really believed he had answers to real problems – would not tell people what they want to hear. In fact, if Kerry weren't solely concerned with one thing and one thing only – winning votes at any cost – he would be telling the Arab-Americans what he told the Jews and telling the Jews what he told the Arab-Americans. But that's not Kerry. One thing Kerry doesn't have to worry about, though, is being confronted on his multi-faced positions by his friends in the establishment press. They want to help Kerry fool all of the people all of the time. That's why no one bothers to ask Kerry the tough questions. Don't expect anyone to pin Kerry down on his Middle East position any more than they pin him down on his betrayal of American POWs and MIAs as chairman of the special select committee on the fate of those soldiers in Vietnam. Sidney Schanberg, a reporter with the Village Voice who knows something about people lost in Southeast Asia, did a heroic job of exposing Kerry's role in the deliberate cover-up of the fact that men were left behind. But no one in the press followed up. Kerry is a walking political time bomb for America. Facing a weak incumbent president, he could very well be elected the next occupant of the White House. It's a scary thought. The man is dangerous. He's unscrupulous. He's an ambitious political whore who would do whatever it takes to be elected. He's a hypocrite beyond description. He's a privileged rich boy who wants the ultimate toy to play with – the U.S. government's executive branch. worldnetdaily.com
