<Well NOTHING can save it IMO..

Depends on what you mean by "it". An economy as we know it today, absolutely agree, but there must be an effort to prevent an inflationary crack-up boom and monetary meltdown. People using corn and copper as money will be VERY bad, that's the issue now, not "jobs", not "fighting deflation", or saving moral hazard bond, housing, and stock speculators.

<< Well NOTHING can save it IMO. It is a case of how long it can be delayed. Since no one wants a crash now, it will be delayed. >>

Agreed. Its a matter of TIME and the PATH taken to get there.

Like any decision or action there are 3 results (positive, negative or neutral). In this case, we can liken our PATH to:

1) HEAVEN - I think we're as close to it as possible, ie. we built a modern-day Tower of Babel. My house is worth far more than I dreamed possible. Prices of electronics are as cheap as they have been, autos are expensive but not anymore excessive than years past. Food costs are the same as years past. Only 1999 was better, mainly because there was no prior market decline and because the world more peaceful and safe. And yes, Russ, I too believe these prices will rise, just need more TIME.

2) PURGATORY - like John Mauldin's "muddle through", we enter a time of temporary respite while we clean ourselves from our greedy transgressions. This means the financial system stabilizes (as it is now) and we let TIME heal all sins. But remember: only God can save us from our sins, TIME cannot. Therefore, I think there are too many unbelievers and we go to HELL.

3) HELL - chaos, anguish and pain. Dollar collapses, house prices crash, bankruptcies abound. Inflation, hyperinflation, deflation in some order. Eventually, the rest of the world gets suck in. This will be a long road. "Forever" may have a greater meaning.

Sermon over.
