Perhaps while you are getting clear the difference between "Hawkmoon" and "Neocon" you can get clear the idea of an "official voice"........

I thought I would help out, since you seem to need it: an Official Voice is the one empowered to state what American foreign policy is at any given time. What it should be is subject to debate in various forums, but what it is is not.

>>>If you insist the nation speak with One Voice, then the practical result, the inevitable and consistent result, the result that happens in every war America has ever fought, is that those who disagree with a President when he wants to go to war, have nasty labels attached to them, and then the government does nasty things to them, to silence them.>>>

So when America goes on stage in world events, such as Iraq or in the Olympics. We should speak with one voice at the Olympics, and with divided voices during a war where lives are at stake. ?
We do not personally know the players, nor the soldiers.
Kindly explain why 99% of the Americans will cheer for, and support, and hope for a USA win against a foreign team.
You are just beating one drum with the same note sounding over and over again.
The time to object to the war was before it started.
And if you (personally ) did not think we should have entered the Olympics in the first place you would apparently be hoping for disaster to strike and encouraging the players in a loud voice to concede the games because its not worth the effort.
Nasty things can happen when you sit in the front row and do that. Its to be reaonably expected.
Kind of lonely out there, isnt it, when having no recognition of the value of a team spirit.
