Hi Hawkmoon; Re: "I see... US military force can be used so long as there are no casualties, right?"

Not at all, as you should well know. I supported, for example, the assistance to the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan, and many casualties were associated with that.

What I don't support is sending our soldiers in as occupation troops among hostile populations. That's not what freedom and democracy is about.

Re: "Which seems to imply that you believe the military should never be used if there is a chance of an American dying."

Hey, if your grandma had testicles your grandpa would be a c&*(s&*(er.

Re: "All it takes, if I understand you properly, is for there to be a single US casualty as the result of someone opposing a US military presence and you'll be ready to cut and run."

No, you don't understand it properly, LOL.

Re: "Even if 99.9% of Haitians support a US presence, all it requires is that .01% exacting a US casualty and you're no longer in favor of US troops being present."

That you are unable to understand me, even after reading the thousands of posts I've made here on FADG, is a pretty good clue of how it is that you're unable to understand the Iraqis, LOL. Or the UN, like back when you said that they weren't going to cut and run. Or the French, like back when you said they were going to come begging us for contracts in Iraq.

If your analysis of human beliefs is repeatedly and demonstrably wrong, you should consider the possibility that you just aren't a very good judge of human beliefs. But for you to imagine that I'm a pacifist, after my thousands of posts here on FADG, many hundreds of which you have replied to, is stunning beyond words.

Either you're missing some circuitry, or you are just spouting rhetoric. Your post has no contact with reality.
