Constitutional amendment is over the top

But when courts legislate and say that the constitution requires same sex marriages, then the only answer is a constitutional amendment. Laws won't do it. A constitutional amendment isn't over the top at all. It's the only possible alternative to accepting full marital rights for homosexuals.

If you think that's over the top, then you have to think that trying to prevent homosexual marriage at all is over the top.

Or do you have a not-over-the-top alternative to suggest?
