I happened to be on that thread in the fall when the first 7% GDP figures came out. I pointed out, CORRECTLY I MIGHT ADD, that GDP and productivity is skewed due to outsourcing and employment would be the #1 issue in 04 which spelled trouble for Bush. That thread concluded I was worried about losing my job as a junior programmer. Stupid is as stupid does, as Forrest Gump would say. As retailers painfully discovered in Xmas 03, the Bush economy 7-8% GDP equals about 2.5% in Clinton time.
