You are trying to change the subject. I am not disputing that the economy is a rolling trend. I don't even blame Bush for the recession, I think it was time we had one in 2000. I blame Bush for a number of missteps starting in spring 02 beginning with the war drumbeat, the looting of the treasury, and his team's cheerleading for *yet another* supply side tax cut when there was ample evidence these weren't working, causing the largest deficit in history. Finally last fall the treasury starts spewing those GDP and productivity figures as if a boom was around the corner. They had to know by now we had structural problems (if they didn't they are too stupid to be in office) and yet they gave the impression that a 99-like revocery was on its way. This caused retailers to overstock for Xmas 03. This economic team is full of idiots or liars or both. It didn't have to be like this, Bush could have handled the recession differently and we'd be in a different place.
