Speaking of the jobs report: the street estimate is +125K non-farm employment. I've seen estimates from 25K to 250K. That is a pretty stark divergence of opinion! It should be interesting.

Well, there's trouble, and then there's TROUBLE. When you get a Fed that ignores the inflation alarm bells, goes into denial, hides or delays data, that's very serious because they lose credibility.

I'm not talking about credibility with people like you and me, I'm talking about credibility with all the sheep, lemmings and moral hazard crowd out there. Panic, a crack-up boom, can't think of worse "trouble" than that, and it might take a decade (from a credible CBer) of even more serious medicine to get that back.
