Iraq vs. Haiti: which one would make a better colony for America?

1. Haiti is closer, so the logistics are easier.

2. Haiti has a much smaller population, 7M vs 25M, so it'd be easier to garrison

3. 200,000 Haitians have AIDS, and are too sick to be planting IEDs.

4. We don't have a recent history of starving, bombing, and embargoing Haiti, so they probably hate us less.

5. Haiti speaks French, and the religion is Voodoo, so, like Iraq, they have nothing in common with Americans.

But none of the above is important. The decisive difference, the reason we will practice no Humanitarian Imperialism on Haiti (or, at least, no more than a token amount, because we just can't stand not to), is:

6. Haitians don't live on top of any oil.
