The writer of the Iron Triangle was threatened by Carlyle... Are we talking death threats here? I took another look at the book last night and Briody does not talk about any threats directed toward him. I would suspect that at some point Carlyle had a conversation with him or his attorney suggesting that he should be careful about the accuracy of the material that he put into his book. He does note that people were warned not to cooperate with him. Big deal. Try writing an unauthorized biography about Babs and see how much cooperation you get.
