But I know of folks who bemoan the fact that the US, with no check-rein opposition from the Soviet Communism, has now become, ever since the end of the Cold War, a monstrous juggernaut that is the very epitomy of: "All forms of power corrupt: absolute power corrupts absolutely."

Democracy itself is the check-and-balance system in America, as long as the foundation of truth remains strong.
