For me, this is the AS post of the day: Message 19866533

"I don't lie. Prove it.
Iraq is the #2 oil producer in the world over the history of oil drilling. you lied by denying that. Everyone knows that is true. Don't you? Russia has only recently caught up due to wars and new discoveries. Some say Iraq could surpass Saudi Arabia and become #1 soon..."

Naturally, Iraq is not the 2nd largest oil producer in the world. Nor has it ever been. The United States has ALWAYS produced more oil than Iraq. The largest OPEC producer has always been Saudi Arabia (or at least since 1973 - the earliest year I have easy access to). The second largest producer from OPEC has usually been Iran (Iran produced more than Iraq every year except for 1979 and 1980 - due to the Revolution, and Iraq's invasion). And of course, Russia (and before that the Soviet Union), has produced and does produce more oil than Iraq. In fact, since 1973 the top 3 oil producers have ALWAYS been Russia(or the Soviet Union), the United States, and Saudi Arabia. Maybe AS means reserves? But then, why mention Russia? Of course, AS is wrong anyway, as Canada is now considered as having the 2nd largest petroleum reserves.

Broke even on Prudent Bear Fund today, expect nice profit now with Bush economy in freefall. Sold my Halliburton at $31. It's plummeting now.

You should get in quick. Or is there a more aggressive shorting fund you recommend? 1.5 trillion in desificits and no jobs plus high energy prices = no upside except maybe for 99 Cent store.
