THey say the USSR collapsed on itself because of the laptop! They lost the ability to control their comrads' communications. I think these guys (Bush/Cheney/Rummy,etc.) don't get it. They may use Email and buy direct mail from a vendor who uses segmentation but they fail to realize the the true impact of current technology. Right now the world has only 2 segments: 1.Those who get it and use it to communicate and 2.Those who don't get it and think Roger Ailes will take care of what ever Karl Rove didn't do. I got wind of this when Cheney was laying down the Iraq-Trailers-WMD-Story at Davos when Kay had already called game over. And how could they have used that info. for last year's SOTUS and Powell's UN Speech on Feb.5th? We all knew it was it had been debunked on several Net sites. Some of the things they do and say are so extreme that it makes me worry that they think a second term for pResident Bush is in a lock box designed and protected by Diebold. And remember,they didn't play fair in 2000, or Iran/Contra or with poor Bert Lance. Why would they play fair now? But now I see hope! Maybe the laptop is just bringing down our "old-cold-warrior-Neoconnected-Aparatchniks" and the rest of us will be able to pull whatever is left together.
