No, Bush cannot beat Kerry because Kerry takes away Bush's whole military defense issue. Only right-wingers will stick with Bush on the defense issues by the time Kerry gets through explaining how he'll make this country even safer. Edwards is a fine candidate but has no credibility on foreign and defense issues. Edwards might make a very good VP though and carry his jobs security issue into the heartlands. Put Kerry and Edwards together and Bush-Cheney may be defeated by a landslide even with all their money. As Dean proved, money doesn't necessarily win you anything.

Edwards would be a tougher opponent, IMO.

Kerry turns people off after they hear his stump 100 times.
