I think there is considerable residual support and affection for Bush due to 9/11 that is not reflected in the current polls.

Fact is he is the one that had to deal with the most horrific period in our nation's history, and people appreciate him for it.

I don't see a real chance of him losing the election. Edwards might have had a shot.
