lambeth-palace, I would like to get a peek at the real data in Alan's house. I think he knows something bad, and he is making sure he warned the world about it before it happens. He is a bit like Nostradamus, in that he only makes sense in hindsight. I agree, today he told the truth, and if I understand the broad message it is this. No one, no CB, can really influence the forex. And over time it will find the "right" level. At the same time he is saying the right level for the dollar is lower, and that means to me that gold will do ok in the medium/long term. Unless of course we have deflation; which I'm still struggling to understand in relation to asset value. TH
