This is a true story. Back in the late 70s or so, Imus called the Libyan Hilton? hotel and asked to speak to idi amin. The clerk spoke broken english and didnt quite understand what imus was asking. Finally Imus says its the big black guy from Uganda. The clerk says oh he check out last week. This happened when it was only a rumour that IDI was in libya. Imus nailed it. It has become much more intellectual over the years but he goes to places with the rich and famous that the usual suspects cannot get to. Mike
