Re: No, not everything Isreal does is okay, but aren't they living under difficult circumstances?

What is so difficult for you to understand about "an illegal and immoral occupation", exhibiting the worst aspects of imperialism and colonialism, with malice aforethought and theft as the ultimate goal?

Quite frankly, absolutely nothing that Israel is doing beyond its borders is remotely OK. Sharon and the other Zionists cry crocodile tears over the loss of Israel's citizens in the nearly futile acts of frustration when Palestinians blow themselves up inside Israel's borders. Sharon cynically permits this violence to continue, in order to justify his continued aggression and territorial expansion into the Palestinian homelands.

Look, if every time I hold out an olive branch to someone and each time they throw a bomb my way, what am I supposed to do?

(1) To call Israel's brutal occupation of Palestinian territories and everyone in it "holding out an olive branch", you need to be VERY biased or extremely misinformed.

(2) What you are supposed to do is go back to your own territory, and defend it. Draw a line in the sand (at the borders of YOUR territory) and say "Here is my country, there is your country, now everyone stays in his place".

No, not everything Isreal does is okay, but aren't they living under difficult circumstances?

Sure. But that does NOT excuse their occupation of Palestinians and their random killings on a daily basis, not to mention bombs dropping from the air and stuff.

Lots of people live in "difficult circumstances", but that is not considered an excuse if they steal and murder to make their circumstances better.

I realize you are partial to the Israeli side. Try to look at it in a more objective way, say, as an issue between two Arab states, one of which is occupying the other, building settlements on the other's land, shooting them at will, etc. Then maybe we can have a chat on the subject.

How do I react? Perhaps I'll build a fence.

Sure. Build it. But build is on YOUR OWN LAND, not on your neighbour's land. That, after all, is the objection against Israel's wall, in case you might not have noticed it.
