Party Time, did you buy into the authenticity of that letter? I wonder. It seemed a little too pat to me. If we'd wanted to draft a politically favorable letter, in terms of politics at home AND in Iraq, it would have been hard to construct one that did more for us. I also remember the newly discovered Iraqi official "document" linking Al Queda and Saddam that turned out to have been faked by "somebody." In view of the clearly expressed desire of this administration to form a "disinformation" bureau, before that went public and was officially squashed, I have little faith in any documents we "find."
