I was using satire to prove a point. The White House is all propaganda. If they can get a document to surface in Iraq that can be talked about here, FOXnews for example, in order to gain political points amongst its base or fence-sitting independents, they won't hesitate to do this. That's precisely what was done by publishing the supposed intercepted courrier's letter in the press.

Here's a pretty good description of the letter.

From my chess playing vantage point, were I a general I'd think along these lines: "Hmmm. The letter from the courrier we intercepted has a document calling for the enemy to reinforce. Now that we've got possession of the intercepted document, it's good to know that the enemy won't get that call for reinforcements."

What the Bush Administration did was publish the call for enemy reinforcement to the worldwide news media, in effect delivering the message! Could the below have been the work of someone who responded?
