The most dramatic evidence that Aristide did not plan his departure is that he #1 did not pack up a bunch of loot to finance his new life, and #2 did not make a CYA speech to his supporters to maintain a level of protection for his cronies. The fact that all the witnesses agree to a kidnapping is just another datum.
