Re: SCR

The stock has bounced back from its Feb.23 dip on a volume of 303K to the 17.75 level. It has been able to go through the resistance at 19.60 and it seems it should be able to deal with its next resistance at the 21.23 level.

The present PE of 3.85 is certainly below average.<G>
Of course we have to remember that the revenues reflect revenue from the Silja acquisition and the earnings also reflects a $60M gain on the sale of the ferry assets as well as reduced selling, general, and administrative expenses.

On a close above 21.25 the next resistance seems to be the Feb.2001 H at 25.90 and then the Sep.2000 H at 29.69 (That one is before the Dec.2000 H of 31.19 <g.)

Except for the 3Q (Sep)the earnings so far this year (1st and 2nd Qs) had been less than on the previous fiscal period.Revenues on the 3rdQ were also 12% less than on the Sep.2000 Q, albeit they have shown a sequential improvement for the 3 Qs.

It seems that the earnings report due next Tuesday should be better than in 2002 and revenues will also show an improvement both compared to 2002 and on a sequential basis.

I don't have a position on SCR.(It is out of my buying range.<g>)But it reminds me of a close friend (now deceased for more than 5 years)since SCR was one of his favorite stocks besides HD.

P.S.: I sold my remaining shares of TORM as I couldn't resist looking at the spike above the $12 level. (That was more than 100% from the price that we initially discussed it.)

I am still watching it since I think that the coming earnings are still to continue showing further improvements.

If you want you can take MRM off from the folio. It has been stalling after its Jan.2 Jan.13 double top at the 7 level, and the stock failed to show a positive reaction last month after the news from the deal with BA.

I still think there is a possibility for a good % gain sometime in the future, but it seems it is requiring more patience than I thought.I only have a small position on it, and maybe Joe's theory about taking it off the folio may do it some good.<g>
