What would the country be like right now if 9/11 had somehow been stopped? And how did we allow several horrid hours in our history to change us so much?

John, good questions!

For some, 9/11 gave the US carte blanche to do whatever we want in the world and they have taken the lead. We need to get that lead back from them.

I wonder... If 9/11 hadn't happened, Bush might not have been a bad President.

John, NO WAY...without the huge boost he got from from 9/11, he would have been relegated to the dustbin of failed presidencies. He would have been saddled with the same domestic problems he has helped create and no war president bennies so many fools credit him with.
