Chesterton was, indeed, a wonderful thinker and author.

I don't wonder that certain people hate hiom. They have to, or admit that he was right.

Which of course he was. And is.

I am not surprised. I have read some essays by Darrow and found him phlegmatic in delivery and uninspired. He was undoubtedly a very great attorney. But he is way out of his league when matched with those whom have both facts and poetic bent.

Speaking of writers. For a couple of months now I have been reading Agatha Christie. She was absolutely brilliant. Her writing is simple in style, but her insight and calculation profound. Her last Poirot book, "Curtain" must be left to the very end...
