Thanks.

Right - December id their summer.

They'll rolling into fall as we go into spring.

Australia was hot burned and brown.Much more arid than I expected.

I expected it to be more tropical - I'm told Queensland is that way.So much of my expectations were off.Australia is so large it is like describing the USA-too big to be accurate.

They are very friendly.

They fear terrorism as much as Americans - I was surprised at this. The bombing in Bali was there wake up call.I thought terrorism was an American phobia - but it really is a world wide phenomenon.

It made me realise that the demise of terrorism is inevitable - over a long time frame.

Australian really like Americans.

When they hear Americans talk they come up to you and ask all sorts of questions.

They speak a completely different slang and it is fun to learn. The first few days you only understand half of what they say.GG

Couple of weird things being on the Southern hemisphere.

Bath tubs swirl the opposite way at the drain.

One must travel south to get to cooler weather.
