yeah the "walk the walk/talk" excuse is the most likely. Sun stands to lose its entire high end revenue stream but that is not exactly new news. And everyone knows sun has execution problems, however Sun has won some huge linux deals recently including that NHS in the UK.

Dell otoh has no service model operations to speak of to support a Linux software shift. And HP is all over the place with no real strategy at all it seems to me. Since the Linux breakout in Fall 03, Sun has dramatically outperformed both Dell and HP stock, the reason is Linux, and the fact that Sun is staying in the high profit capex area while Dell,HP are turning to the cheapie consumer electronics market for growth. This Forbes guy hasn't done his homework.
