its a lot easier for Sun to migrate to a Linux desktop because significant amounts of staff are running solaris and Linux already... this is engineering or anybody who touches engineering, these people all have Sun workstations. Only the marketing and some backoffice/admins need to go open office. Its a whole different thing from say Cisco who has the entire company on windows. So if Sun has any glitches at all then that is a red flag that a linux desktop isn't quite ready for primetime. Novell is also transitioning to all Linux.

BTW SCO sued Autozone and Daimler Chrysler today.
