Bush's attempt to tie Al Qaeda to Iraq is crumbling aroung him.
the seized Zarqawi letter indicates that he has not been in close touch with bin Laden and al Qaeda in recent years and in fact is "a rival to the bin Laden group." Although Zarqawi went through the al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan in the 1980s, he does not come across in the document as subservient to bin Laden

It's so clear that Bush made a strategic blunder by getting stuck in the Iraqi quagmire. Now the U.S. will face multiple fronts in the fight against terrorists and extremism.

>>> "We could find no provable connection between Saddam and al-Qaida," a senior U.S. official acknowledged. He and others spoke on condition of anonymity because the information involved is classified and could prove embarrassing to the White House.<<<

I think information proving to become an embarrassment to the White House is a bit moot at this point. Especially since virtually the entire Bush Administration is an embarrassment!
