Esteban, Edit: Fixed font doesn't allow leading "spaces" cannot make good structure in examples. Sorry. It does and I use it. My comment was related to its "overuse"! Because Outlook does not propagate the "New mail" indication in sub-folders up to the enclosing folder, you must expand the hierarchy to see new mail. For example, a 4 level hierarchy may have: - Inbox - Friends - Local Bill (6) Cindy (1) Ted (2) - Distant Jerry (2) Sam (1) With the number in () indicating new mail. If I shrink the folders, I get: - Inbox - Friends + Local + Distant More useful would be: - Inbox - Friends + Local (9) + Distant (3) I only use rules to place mail in the "Local" and "Distant" level of the hierarchy and manually distribute from there after I have read and handled the item.
