I had a friend who could order a table for four and ham and scrambled eggs for everyone in perfect Spanish. That was the only spanish he had, but he said it perfectly. I got stuck chaperoning a family of 11 Venezuelians on their trip to Disneyland (dad offered me $100 for the job, I refused, so of course I got stuck doing it for free). They all put in their breakfast orders, and then the waitress looked at me to translate. So of course I said "ham and scrambled eggs for everyone!" Got some really puzzled looks when breakfast was served.
