Don, what has been happening is that the market and by that I mean the NASDAQ and SOX has been struggling for quite a while. This is something important very important that has been happening. Almost every high volume day except one has been a down day. Every week for sure!

More volume on down days indicates distribution that could lead to a breakdown. This is a huge change over how the market behaved last year. All the down days then were almost all on lower volume.

Check out the volume on these charts showing how much more down volume than up volume there is on the SMH in 2003. Look carefully because the problem started even earlier than that:
