Keep in mind that Kerry, although the better person and the better candidate than Bush, is not the perfect candidate. I think much of Bush's AWOL controversy was as much to boost Kerry to help assure him of the nomination against his competitors, as it was a means to take down Bush.

It's still the system. And Kerry, like Bush, is part of the system. My only hope is that once Kerry gets in office he will become more his own man than someone else's who got him to where he is today.

Once he's elected I think the very first thing he should do is request that the national media investigate itself, that it examine why there's no substantive black, brown, red or yellow people media ownership when it comes to the major influential media markets.
