I am amazed that so many people are mollified by the euphemistic approach.... What would a civil union deny a couple??? Would the churches perform civil union's??? Is it merely the word that you object to?

SB, what if a son chooses to live the rest of his life caring for his ill mother. They love each other, not sexually, but like a normal mother-son relationship. Would you agree and consent that after spending a lifetime of caring for his mother the son should be entitled to her pension benefits upon her death?

If two men living together are entitled to such benefits, why shouldn't a loving son be entitled to same?
