I was just in Vegas for a trade show in January, noticed that poker is getting huge interest now, a lot of tables for hold em' and 7 card, and people waiting to play.
I was tempted to sit down and try it but opted not to, mainly a time issue.

I just realized that it's been over a year since I've been in Vegas - February '03. We used to go 4-5 times a year, but now I just drive to Lake Charles every couple of weeks. It's probably been over 20 years since I've gone this long w/o going to Vegas.

Flying low down I-10, I can make it in 2.5 hours each way. so I can leave at noon, play for a few hours, get comp'd at the steak house, and be back well before midnight to sleep in my own bed. It isn't Vegas by a long shot, but I sure don't miss the hassle of flying there, or the inevitable nose bleeds from the low humidity.
