There is no question that you are right. The real question is simply does the market want to afford stock prices tomorrow anywhere near the stock prices we had in 2000.

Only time will tell. So far I see a distribution pattern that is heavy on the selling in our favorite industry. If the SOX is going to rise and take our favorite stocks with it then institutions need to step up and buy these stocks instead of net selling them.

Keep in mind that analysts upgrades always precede market tops as do higher earnings projections and low PEG's.
