Ted Re...Oh, I don't think they're kooks and hypocrites. They are exactly as you describe.......strong willed people with strong opinions. They are the people who put the "under God" in the pledge; who want the ten commandments posted in public buildings; who believe separation of church and state
is wrong; who think abortions are an abomination; who condemn violence in film but condone the violence in the Passion; who call liberals unpatriotic; who complain the left is amoral; who consider the two second unveiling of JJ's breast a national travesty; who consider the invasion of Iraq God's will etc.

Since when has the girl scouts, taken upon itself, the duty to teach the children of others about homosexuality, and masturbation.

Its not the girl scouts doing the teaching......its Planned Parenthood. The girl scouts simply endorsed the program sponsored by PP. BTW the girl scouts teach girls about life; sex is a part of that life.

Isn't that the parents job?

I once polled my friends on this issue.........not one of us learned about sex from our parents.

Thats what parents object to,the intrusion on private matters, by an organization, which normally teaches girls public things.

Huh? Schools also teach kids about sex. The parents in question were not objecting to their kids learning about sex but rather about masturbation and homosexuality.

As far as the kooks part, those parents should scare the hell out of you, because they are yesterdays's soccer moms, who feel religion, and morals should be a big part of their life; and they despair how crude and vulgar society has become.

There is nothing vulgar about masturbation and homosexuality.......both are a part of life.

Approximately 60% of Americans practice religion, and the dems won't win, with Rooney's attitude; that people who believe in religion should be mocked. Janet was just another example of Hollywood, trying to push their morals, or should I say lack of; on the rest of us. My bet, is that before long, Kerry will swear, he goes to church regularily.

When has a woman's breast become a turn off and/or immoral? The only thing that was truly vulgar was the way it was unveiled........it was done in a too aggressive, rapacious way.

Seeing the breast itself did not cause any slide in morality. No kid was corrupted. In fact, those boys over ten probably consider themselves very lucky to have been in the right place in the right time and are hardly scarred; those under eight really don't have a clue what the brouhaha is all about whereas those between 8 and 10 smile knowingly when the subject comes up but are not entirely sure why all the excitement. That's assuming, of course, that every kid who saw the half time show is straight.

As for the girls, they are in front of their mirrors practicing to be JJ as I type this post.
