JW,

Two toppy candlesticks on the USD... I get the impression that even if it goes higher it will not generate new lows in XAU/HUI/POG, BWDIK.

The Rand is not giving up without a fight, but its direction is now down which bodes well for SA shares including my largest position SUF.TO... so ugly it's beautiful. <g>

Jim. Good posts by you and vt on the buck, et al.

EW not a primary tool. But when there's a clear wave count, I'll use it.

Your daily $ chart has a 5 wave off the lo. In the past couple of days, looks like we finished a new wave 1 up. Next is likely to be the wave 2 consolidation for maybe a week as you postulate.

Then, a 3rd would take us to 90+.

Beyond that? I'd give somewhat greater odds that we get the 4th and 5th waves which would take us up into the 93s.

That would also satisfy the full count I made from the base in my post earlier today. So staying with that call till proven otherwise.

All FWIW.
