Dear baldie: I live 60 miles north of miami and I LOATHE to even drive down there to the airport. I have friends in Coral Gables and dont even like to go there. Miami is a very HOT community, its predominately Spanish now and the Columbians in particular are very volatile (I was warned NEVER to blow my horn in traffic there as its considered an insult and you can be shot for that). Good friend of mines wife was SHOT on BISCAYNE BLVD, the ritzy downtown section in broad daylight. If you are not bilingual its just about impossible to get a job in Dade County. This has really hurt the AfroAmerican population who are usually not bilingual and caused their plight to become even worse thus the violence there. Sorry to learn of your wifes cousins death, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Very sad. jdn
